Rules for Conduct of Professional Courses Examinations held by the affiliated colleges on behalf of University

Bachelor of Management Studies

» A student must get 50% of marks in aggregate of internals and Semester end Examination with minimum of 40% marks in the internal & Semester examination separately to pass. The subject (for a student to pass the subject, the student must secure Min. of 40% of marks in the internal & external examination separately (16 out of 40 & 24 out of 60 marks separately))
» A candidate shall be placed in first class with distinction if he/she secures a Min. of 50% marks in each theory papers & with a minimum grade of C in each project in Semester V & VI and at least 70% marks in theory papers of Semester V & VI taken together in aggregate.
» A candidate shall be placed in first class if he/she secures a Min. of 50% marks in each theory papers & with a minimum grade of C in each project in Semester V & VI and at least 60% marks in theory papers of Semester V & VI taken together in aggregate.

Carry Forward of marks in case if student fails in one or more subjects.
a) A candidate who fails in any particular theory paper shall be allowed to reappear for that theory papers. However his / her internal examination marks shall be carried over. But he/she shall not be entitled to any class on passing.
b) A candidate who passes in semester end theory examination of any subject but fails in the internal examination shall appear for internal examination of that subject only. The internal examination will consist of one project of 40 marks and the same is to be divided into 10 marks for the presentation, 20 marks for hard copy of the project & 10 marks for viva. However his/her semester end examination shall be carried over. But he/she shall not be entitled to any class on passing.

a) A candidate shall allowed to keep terms for semester II if he / she passes semester I or if he/she fails in not more than 2 theory papers of semester I.
b) A candidate shall allowed to keep terms for semester III if he/she passes semester I & semester II or if he/she fails in not more than 2 theory papers of semester I & semester II taken together.
c) A candidate shall allowed to keep terms for semester IV if he/she passes each of semester I, II, III or he/she passes Semester I and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester II & III taken together.
d) A candidate shall allowed to keep terms for semester V if he/she passes each of semester I, II, III, IV or if he/she passes Semester I and Semester II and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester III & IV taken together.
e) A candidate shall allowed to keep terms for semester VI if he/she passes each of semester I, II, III, IV,V or if he/she passes Semester I, II, III and fails in not more than two theory papers of Semester IV & V taken together, Irrespective of his/her grade in Project – I of Semester V.
f) A candidate who does not secure a Min. Grade of C in Project – I or Project II has to submit a fresh project where he/she secure a Min. Grade of C.

The Evaluation of Project I & II and viva – voce examination shall be by awarding Grade in the seven point scale noted below.

A candidate shall have to obtain grade C in the seven point grade in project evaluation and viva – voce taken together to obtain 50% marks in the project work According to circular no. UG/278 of 2007.
